These efforts have been recognized with several awards, including the Stratospheric Ozone Protection Award "Best of the Best", offered by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and National Award for Conservation and Rational Use of Energy, industry category, coordinated by CNI (Brazilian’s Industry National Confederation). Carrier is the first air conditioning system manufacturer to join the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Climate Leaders Program in the United States.
